Panning for Gold at Indiana Campground

The Knightstown, Indiana Jellystone Park campground was featured in the article “Hoosiers Go Looking for Gold” which appeared in the July 29 issue of the Indianapolis Star.  Read the full article here. 

This Indiana campground , located 25 miles east of Indianapolis off I-70, is home to Bonnieville Gold Camp, a re-creation of an 1860 Gold Camp. It’s complete with a 6 ft by 14 ft sorting box and easy access to Jellystone Creek.

Anyone can try his or her luck in finding gold and they provide free panning lessons and rental equipment for the first timer.
