Christmas Wonderland

The halls are fully decked in Nashville, where Jellystone Park™ Campground is located just down the road from the Opryland Hotel. For the first time, the park is host to Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland, a world-renowned holiday light show set to your favorite holiday songs. Featuring hundreds of thousands of energy-efficient LED lights synchronized and dancing to classic tunes like the “Hallelujah Chorus”, this is one of the biggest light shows in the country! When the drive is done, visit Santa’s Village and warm up with cider or cocoa, toast a s’more, get your picture taken with Santa Claus, and visit the gift shop and Kids’ Craft Corner. The fully-computerized, custom-designed drive-thru holiday light tour is open 6-10 p.m. through January 2. Admission is $25 per carload, or reserve a Sugar Creek Carriage ride and enjoy the show in the open air (blankets are provided.) Guests will also receive a free local discount card valid for all of 2011.

A new addition to the Jellystone Park ™ family, Gloucester Point near Chesapeake Bay in Hayes, Virginia is making a marquee debut with its Christmas Holiday Light Show, held 6-10 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through January 2. With more than a quarter mile of twinkling lights synchronized to holiday music you’ll enjoy through your radio, it’s sure to become a family tradition. Even better, proceeds benefit the Gloucester Mathews Humane Society and the Abingdon Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department. You can also donate canned goods for the local Humane Society and area food banks. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the spirit of the season while making an impact on local lives.
