Texas Jellystone Park Not Flooded Despite Heavy Rains

Posted on 2010-06-15 at 11:40 am

June 15, 2010-Despite heavy rains and thunderstorms that hit the area last week, Jellystone Park in Canyon Lake is happy to report that they escaped any major water damage and/or flooding, which mostly occurred to the east of the park.

Located in the heart of Texas Hill Country and only a 30 minute drive from San Antonio, this park is between Canyon Lake, which is now full and sizing up to be a great water year for lake and river activities, and the Guadalupe River where tubing resumed last week.

Upcoming themed weekends are Father’s Day (June 18-20) where Dad can dress up and compete in the “Ms. Jellystone” competition, and Family Olympics weekend (June 25-27) where festivities begin with a torch run and individuals/families compete in fun games for the gold.

Lodge rooms, cottages, tent camping, and over 100 RV sites are available, but Canyon Lake reservations are filling quickly, so call 877-964-3731 to book your stay.
