Oklahoma and California
Welcome New Jellystone Parks™
Yogi Bear™ is coming to
Eufaula, OK, and Pine Grove, CA, this spring!
The Eufaula campground is the first of its kind in the great
state of Oklahoma. This newly-constructed facility is located on
the shore lines of Lake Eufala, one of the largest lakes in the
region. But when it comes to water, lake views are just the
beginning. The campground is located on a penisula, allowing for
all waterfront sites, including 100 campsites and 20 deluxe cabins.
And after drinking in the breathtaking scenery, campers will love the
many water-related activities, like boat, canoe and waverunner rentals,
pedal boats, fishing, a water play area and a swimming pool. Families
can also visit the game room, catch a wagon or kiddie train ride,
play mini-golf or see what's playing at the outdoor theater.
On
the West Coast, we've struck gold with Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park at
Pine Grove - literally. In addition to the great amenities you
expect - a pool, mini-golf, arcade, planned activities and much more -
this campground offers plenty of excitement right outside the gate,
including gold mining. Pine Grove will offer everything from tent
and full hook-up sites to cabin and lodge rentals. The park is
undergoing complete renovations and also has plans in the works for a
water playground.
Both locations are set to open early this summer. Check www.campjellystone.com for updates and specific grand
opening plans.

Comfort
Food Made Easy
Long winter days
just beg for homemade, super-satisfying comfort food. But busy
schedules can make it tough to prepare Grandma's famous chicken pot
pie. Here's an easy two-fer recipe - eat one tonight, and freeze
the other for a day when time is tight.
- 4 cups cubed cooked chicken
- 4 cups frozen Southern-style hash brown potatoes,
thawed
- 1 (16 oz) package frozen mixed veggies, thawed and
drained
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted
- 1 can condensed cream of onion soup, undiluted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 package (15 oz) refrigerated pie pastry
In a large bowl, combine the first 11 ingredients.
Divide between two 9-inch deep-dish pie plates. Roll out the pastry
to fit the top of each pie. Cut slits in the pastry. Place
over filling; trim, seal and flute the edges.
Cover and freeze one potpie for up to three months.
Cover and bake the other at 400 for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
When you're ready to bake the frozen pie, cover the edges
loosely with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 30
minutes. Reduce heat to 350, remove foil and bake 50-55 minute
longer or until golden brown.
