What is often more important is the matter of what a vacation will cost. Take a family of six: Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa and two kids. Travelling in an RV, rented or bought means that everyone is under the same roof. Granted it can be a little cramped, but you are not going to be spending that much time indoors. Camping in a tent or RV is a destination in itself. Once you get to the campsite everything is there for you to enjoy – amenities like mini-golf and playgrounds plus activities.
A hotel, on the other hand, charges per bed. Most hotel rooms sleep two or four, at most. An extra bed means an extra charge, so that you may find yourself paying an enormous amount, just to have a place to sleep. Then you haven’t begun to do anything yet! Any activity or sightseeing you do will mean extra costs. It could all mount up very quickly.
