Camping Is Always In-Season!

snow fun with yogi

While the weather has turned frosty in most of the country, campers need not despair – there are still plenty of Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park™ Campground open year round!

You’ll find our friendly staff and top-notch hospitality still very much in working order during the winter months, so don’t give up on camping fun just yet. In addition to RV campsites, many of our campgrounds offer heated cabins and lodges, as well as access to winter-time activities at northern parks. With rates at their off-season lowest, it’s the perfect time for a quiet getaway. And further south, you’ll find Yogi Bear-style fun (and warmer temperatures!) at Jellystone Park campgrounds.

From Larkspur, CO (nestled in Pike National Forest), where you can rent a premium cottage for $99 and enjoy the quiet of the Colorado winter, to Burleson, TX , where you’ll find yourself perfectly positioned to explore the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex, and plenty of places in between, now’s the time to see a new side of camping. Visit here for a full listing of year-round parks.

Get Your Beam On with Laser Tag

Lasar Tag fun with Jellystone Park™.

Cool, crisp days (and evenings) are perfect for a family game of Laser Tag! This high-tech combination of tag and hide-and-seek is fun for everyone from kindergarteners to the grandparents – and it’s sure to get your blood pumping. The game began in the 1970s during the sci-fi heyday, and has since grown into a full-fledged phenomenon. Players are given a laser gun to “shoot” members of the opposite team. Everyone gets into the act as you duck behind trees, crouch between shrubs and creep along the side of buildings, looking for your best shot while avoiding the laser beam of your opponents.

Lasar tag fun with Jellystone Park™.

You’ll find Laser Tag games at three Jellystone Park™ Campgrounds: in Hagerstown, MD , where you can play at night; in Luray, VA , where you’ll also find pedal boats, miniature golf, and “Old Faceful” Mining Company; and at Canyon Lake, TX , where you’ll love the jumping pillow, heated indoor pool and tubing down the Guadalupe River.
Choose your team and get ready for a great time!

Pennsylvania Family Campground Opens Snowless Sledding Course

yogi-bear-snowless-sled

New in 2010, Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Mill Run Pennsylvania introduced the first snow-less snow tubing track into the camping industry.

Yogi Bear, Boo Boo and Cindy Bear took the first ride down the track as onlookers cheered them on waiting anxiously to take their turn sliding down the hill. Kids and adults of all ages enjoy the fun that this brings into the Mill Run Pennsylvania campground. Rider’s line up, to either form long trains or race each other to the end. Evening parties have been started to do late night glow stick riding which brings a different twist to the ride. The cooler the evening  gets,  the faster the track starts to run and with it being dark and unlit, the thrill of not knowing where you will end up, excites the campers even more.

While waiting for your turn campers enjoy snow cones, cotton candy, popcorn and drinks at the activity table. Anyone passing through Mill Run Pennsylvania should stop by and try out the slides. Just think you don’t have to put snow boots, gloves , hats and extra clothing on to enjoy the same fun you have in the winter. Plus there is no chance for frostbite.
